Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on a newly secured project. The role focuses on driving success through strong leadership, proactive client engagement and effective project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will influence risk, contract obligations and commercial outcomes while collaborating with Civmec, clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Senior commercial leadership experience on major projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead, mentor and develop a project commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong commercial leadership across all project commercial and contractual functions.
• Lead head contract administration and compliance, including notices, claims and entitlement submissions.
• Drive the commercial strategy, variations, EOTs and remeasurement claims.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor procurement and commercial administration.
• Provide contractual guidance to the project team for informed decision-making and risk management.
• Oversee cashflow, progress claims and reporting to support performance.
• Establish governance processes for variations, risks and commercial actions across the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop the project commercial team to foster a high-performance culture.
