Qualifications

• Demonstrated high level knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy, numeracy and music integration, and responding to student learning needs.
• Experience planning for high impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching practice with feedback to students and parents.
• Interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the school community; support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.
• Behaviours and attitudes aligned with Department values; commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching and organisational duties as directed by the principal.
• Engage in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
