Job summary

Kerang South Primary School in Victoria is seeking a classroom teacher focused on planning, preparing and delivering programs that achieve targeted student outcomes. The role requires applying high-level curriculum knowledge, literacy and numeracy teaching, and music skills to meet diverse learning needs.

You will monitor and assess progress using data, provide feedback to students and parents, mentor beginning teachers, and contribute to school policies and priorities.

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• If applicable, postgraduate level initial teacher education program accreditation.
• Demonstrated ability to use data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom-related duties as directed by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
