Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in workers compensation claims management, ideally within a self-insured environment.
• Empathetic, resilient and motivational approach to providing client-centric support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence to handle challenging conversations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to coach, guide and support as a senior team member.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and implementing proactive claims strategies within required timeframes to achieve optimal outcomes and minimise claim costs.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress strategies and actions.
• Assessing liability and recovery matters in line with relevant legislation and policies, while undertaking ongoing reviews of entitlements and payments.
• Proactively managing rehabilitation providers and approving rehabilitation and wellness plans in accordance with self-insurance guidelines.
• Supporting injured workers through their recovery by promoting health and wellbeing and empowering them to actively participate in their treatment and return-to-work journey.
• Providing coaching, guidance and support to team members and assisting with escalated or complex claims matters.
