Job summary

EML is seeking a Senior Case Manager to join our Adelaide team. This permanent, full-time role offers flexibility to work from home and a chance to make a meaningful impact on injured workers, employers and the wider community.

Based in Adelaide with optional remote work, you will manage complex claims within a specialist organisation focused on workers compensation and personal injury claims management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in workers compensation or claims management.
• Proven ability to navigate complex claims and regulation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement proactive claims strategies within required timeframes to achieve optimal outcomes and minimise claim costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress strategies and actions.
• Assess liability and recovery matters in line with relevant legislation and policies, while undertaking ongoing reviews of entitlements and payments.
• Proactively manage rehabilitation providers and approve rehabilitation and wellness plans in accordance with self-insurance guidelines.
• Support injured workers through their recovery by promoting health and wellbeing and empowering them to participate in their return-to-work journey.
• Provide coaching, guidance and support to team members and assist with escalated or complex claims matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced claims professional who combines technical expertise with genuine empathy and a strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for injured workers.

Do you have…

• Demonstrated experience in workers compensation claims management, ideally within a self-insured environment.
• An empathetic, resilient and motivational approach to providing customer-centric support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to navigate challenging conversations.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• The ability to proactively identify opportunities, develop effective strategies and drive claims outcomes.
• The confidence and experience to provide coaching, guidance and support as a senior member of the team.
