Job summary

Campbelltown City Council in Campbelltown NSW is seeking an experienced Building Project Officer to directly manage the delivery phase of assigned construction projects, overseeing budget, scope, and contractor procurement with ongoing status reporting.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree in Construction Management or related field, NSW White Card, and strong supervisory, communication and analytical skills, plus a current Class C driver licence. Flexible work options are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field with extensive building/construction project experience.
• Extensive supervisory experience in an operational, service-delivery environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholders and contractors.
• High-level analytical/problem-solving skills to identify risks and solutions.
• Knowledge of building/construction processes, codes, standards and NSW legislation.
• Experience in planning, estimating, programming and contract documentation.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage delivery phase of assigned construction projects of varying size and complexity.
• Oversee budget, scope, procurement of contractors and reporting on status.
• Support pre-construction processes including feasibility studies and design review.
