Job summary

A Local Government council in Sydney is seeking a Project Officer to deliver Building & Civil projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and managing projects from initiation through construction to contract supervision to meet time, cost and quality targets.

The role offers a 6-month contract with potential for extension, a 35-hour week with flexible start and finish times, and a collaborative team that provides day-to-day training to develop new skills.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering are required.
• Experience in procurement and project delivery.
• Experience with Building, Open Space, Public Domain and Recreational projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Procure contracts and consultants within the designated budget and timeframe
• Develop project briefs, specifications and tender documents
• Liaise with stakeholders to deliver projects on time in accordance to contracts management
• Prepare scope of works throughout all concepts
