Job summary

Bayside Council in Sydney, NSW seeks a seasoned Construction/Capital Works Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of major projects across engineering, architecture and landscape disciplines. You will plan, procure, deliver and complete complex works while ensuring safety, timeliness and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities include contract administration, budget management, risk assessment and stakeholder engagement to align with council objectives and community expectations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering complex construction and capital works projects across multiple disciplines.
• Experience administering contracts and supervising construction teams.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines and risks across large-scale programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end to end delivery of construction projects of varying scale and complexity, including scope development, planning, design, procurement, construction and project close out
• Provide contract administration on Council contracts and act as the Superintendent's Representative (for example AS4000, AS4902, GC21 or equivalent)
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cashflows and expenditure forecasts
• Identify, assess and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements and inform organisational direction, strategy and action
• Deliver value for all stakeholders in an ethical, social and environmentally responsible manner
