Job summary

Blackman Recruitment Pty Ltd. seeks an experienced, full-time Senior Baker for an award-winning bakery manufacturer in Australia. This hands-on role will oversee daily production, lead staff, and ensure strict food safety and WHS compliance while delivering quality bakery products.

You will plan weekly production schedules, train and motivate a team, manage stock, and support product development. Strong pastry/bread experience and HACCP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery/food manufacturing leadership.
• Knowledge of HACCP and WHS practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on baking, wrapping, cleaning and general production duties.
• Plan and manage weekly production schedules to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Prepare, mix, shape and bake a range of bakery products to meet quality standards.
• Organise daily staff tasks, rosters and staffing levels to keep production running smoothly.
• Train, support and motivate staff, creating a positive team environment.
• Manage stock levels, ingredients, packaging and wholesale orders.
• Monitor product quality and ensure recipes and production standards are followed.
• Follow food safety, HACCP and WHS requirements and maintain all required records and paperwork.
• Identify and report any quality, food safety or workplace safety issues.
• Look for ways to reduce waste, improve processes and make production more efficient.
• Keep equipment and production areas clean, organised and safe.
• Assist with developing new products and work with the sales team and distributors to meet customer needs.
