Job summary

Offshore Staff Assist is seeking skilled Bakers to join our client in Australia. You will prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, cakes and other goods to established recipes, focusing on quality, consistency and food safety.

Candidates should have at least five years of professional bakery experience, relevant qualifications, and the stamina to work early mornings, weekends and holidays. A passport and police clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a professional bakery environment.
• Relevant qualifications in baking or pastry arts.
• Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy ingredients.
• Proficiency in English to ensure effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure the timely production of bakery items to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage the ordering of ingredients and supplies.
• Develop new recipes and bakery products to enhance the product range.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality outputs.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet established standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any feedback or concerns promptly.
