You will lead design reviews, shape infrastructure, and mentor engineers while balancing speed with reliability. The role emphasizes collaboration with product, clinical teams, and infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and observability across the system.

Qualifications

• Senior backend engineering experience with Python and modern async ecosystem.
• Proven ability to architect backend systems at scale.
• Experience building paved roads for engineers: scaffolds, shared libraries, tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture and service boundaries.
• Lead design reviews and provide architectural feedback early.
• Build roadmaps for backend development, templates, tooling, and CI pipelines.
• Maintain code standards and observability by design.
• Mentor backend engineers and drive best practices across teams.
• Ensure live system health through testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.
