Heidi is building the future of healthcare with AI care partner technology. We’re seeking a senior platform & reliability lead to own the cloud platform, run a small team, and ensure global availability of our services.

You’ll shape SRE practices, set SLIs/SLOs, and drive on-call efficiency while partnering with product engineers to move fast and safely. In-office in Sydney or Melbourne, you’ll influence architecture across regions, implement IaC, and improve deployment processes with feature

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading cloud infrastructure or SRE teams at scale.
• Hands-on with a major cloud provider, Kubernetes, Terraform or IaC, and modern observability stacks.
• A real reliability practice behind you: SLOs, error budgets, incidents, post-incident reviews.
• Track record designing for high availability across regions with data residency constraints and DR testing.
• Service-minded approach: measure platform success by enabling other teams, not aesthetics of the system.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the platform team covering cloud infrastructure and reliability. Drive hiring, coach engineers, and maintain sustainable on-call load.
• Own Heidi's multi-region cloud footprint end to end: compute, networking, data stores, Kubernetes, IaC, and in-region data residency.
• Set the reliability bar and define SLIs/SLOs; run error budgets and influence roadmap decisions.
• Run incident response and blameless post-incident reviews with timely follow-ups.
• Partner with Release Manager and engineering leads to improve deployments: feature flags, canary, staged rollouts, and robust rollback paths.
