Updoc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help connect patients, doctors, medical professionals and pharmacies across Australia. You’ll own architecture, build scalable backends and APIs, and collaborate directly with product, clinicians and operations.

Qualifications

Past experience solving ambiguous problems into scalable systems.
Ability to discuss trade-offs with product managers, doctors and operations.
Strong focus on maintainable backend APIs, automations and internal tooling.

Responsibilities

Turn ambiguous problems into simple, scalable systems.
Own technical decisions from architecture through production.
Talk directly with product managers, doctors and operations to understand problems.
Build reliable backend systems, APIs, automations and internal tooling.
Improve engineering standards and practices, not just code features.
Leave every part of the codebase better than you found it.
