Job summary

Black Toyota is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller / Foreman to lead our busy service department. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily workshop operations and supports a team of Technicians to ensure repairs and servicing meet the highest standards.

You will utilize diagnostic and mechanical skills to assist the team, maintain workflow efficiency, and liaise with the Service Manager to ensure clear communication and safety compliance throughout the workshop.

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician is essential.
• Proven experience in a workshop environment.
• Strong diagnostic, repair, and fault-finding ability.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience (highly regarded).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily workshop operations.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Technicians.
• Ensure high-quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
• Maintain workflow efficiency and productivity.
• Assist with complex diagnostics and fault finding.
• Liaise with Service Manager and Service Advisors to ensure clear communication.
