Commonwealth Bank of Australia invites expressions of interest for the Associate Director, Structured Asset Finance, to join the Capital Structuring team within IB&M. The role focuses on asset-backed funding and leasing solutions across transport, logistics, infrastructure, energy transition, and digital sectors.

You will work on complex, deal-driven transactions, supporting origination, structuring, and execution while partnering with senior origination teams and sponsors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in structured/asset finance, IB&M, project finance, leveraged finance or private credit.
• Experience in deal execution within a transaction team.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial judgement skills.
• Understanding of credit, asset risk, capital, accounting, tax, and documentation considerations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration capability.
• Proactive mindset with strong risk awareness.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to the growth of a leading Structured Asset Finance franchise by supporting the origination of new opportunities through market insights and client engagement.
• Work across the full transaction lifecycle - assisting in structuring and executing complex asset-backed financing and leasing solutions.
• Partner with senior originators, clients, and sponsors on high-value deals, building trusted relationships and deepening your client-facing capability.
• Deliver financial modelling, analysis, and transaction insights to support deal execution and decision making.
• Collaborate with Coverage, Risk, Treasury and Legal to assess and manage transaction risk, and support credit approvals and governance requirements.
• Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative culture, including supporting team capability and development.
