Job summary

St George Community Housing (SGCH) is seeking a Senior Assets Maintenance Officer to provide specialist oversight of repairs and maintenance workflows. You will work under limited direction, assessing complex maintenance matters, supervising contractor performance, and leading quality assurance activities across the maintenance journey.

The role requires strong technical expertise, solutions focus, and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to apply advanced technical knowledge to complex maintenance scenarios.
• Experience with maintenance management systems, workflow and performance data.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist oversight of repairs and maintenance workflows across SGCH.
• Review contractor scopes, quotations, variations and completed works for quality and value.
• Lead risk-based quality assurance activities and coordinate defect rectification.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex repairs and maintenance matters.
