Job summary

SGCH is seeking a Senior Assets Maintenance Officer based in Sydney. This permanent role provides specialist oversight of repairs and maintenance workflows, assessing complex maintenance matters, overseeing contractor performance and driving improvements across the maintenance journey.

You will apply advanced technical knowledge, be solutions focused and a natural problem solver, and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience applying advanced technical knowledge to complex, high-volume building maintenance, repairs, contractor or field-service operations.
• Proven ability to work under limited direction, exercise initiative and judgement on significant matters.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Providing specialist oversight of repairs and maintenance workflows, ageing work orders and complex maintenance matters.
• Reviewing contractor scopes, quotations, variations and completed works for quality and value.
• Leading quality assurance activities and coordinating rectification of defects and recurring issues.
• Analysing maintenance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Acting as a technical escalation point for complex repairs and maintenance matters.
• Developing technical guidance, procedures and controls to strengthen service quality.
• Ensuring customers receive timely, clear and respectful communication throughout the repairs process.
