Job summary

Community Housing Ltd (CHL) is seeking a Responsive Maintenance Officer to support safe, well-maintained homes. You will oversee responsive and vacated maintenance, liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders, and help apply CHL asset policies and standards.

The role emphasises practical, customer-focused service delivery, strong organisational skills, and a data-driven approach. A current driver’s licence and White Card are required, with pre-employment checks including Police and Working

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge and application of Work Health and Safety practices.
• Experience working with contractors, maintenance teams or asset-related services.
• Ability to manage priorities, monitor work progress and deliver quality outcomes.
• Strong communication skills and relationship building with customers, colleagues, consultants and contractors.
• A current driver’s licence.
• A White Card, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to complete satisfactory pre-employment checks, including Police, NDIS and Working with Children’s Checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support in the management of CHL’s asset base.
• Supervise and oversee responsive and vacated maintenance of properties.
• Liaise and negotiate with relevant business units, consultants and contractors.
• Support asset management projects and work assignments.
• Undertake onsite maintenance work as required.
• Work with contractors to ensure service standards and KPIs are met.
• Collaborate with the broader operations team and provide support across the team when needed.
