Job summary

Infinite Care is seeking a Qualified Chef to join our Mt Lofty facility. You will manage kitchen operations, prepare meals, and lead a small team to deliver healthy, nutritious, home-style meals for residents. Base Salary $73,000–$85,000.

You will oversee menu planning, food safety compliance, and cost control, while ensuring excellent resident satisfaction. This role requires a 7-day roster and commitment to high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing food costs in aged care or retirement living environments.
• Trade qualification in commercial cooking is required.
• Ability to work a 7-day roster and maintain high service standards.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals meeting resident dietary requirements and textures.
• Plan menus and develop recipes for residents.
• Control food costs within budget, conduct stock takes, and place orders.
• Manage supplier relationships and contracts.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation and safety.
