Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking a casual Cook at our Mt Lofty care home. You will prepare nutritious meals, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure a safe, hygienic kitchen that supports resident wellbeing.

Reporting to the General Manager and Chef Manager, you’ll implement seasonal menus, manage food purchasing and stock, and cater for special events while upholding high food safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison abilities.
• Experience in aged care or health is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary needs and cultural preferences.
• Lead kitchen staff, supervise day-to-day operations.
• Oversee food purchasing, stock control, and kitchen efficiency.
• Cater for special occasions and community events.
• Maintain hygienic, safe, and welcoming kitchen.
• Ensure high standards of food safety and presentation.
