Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC in Bendigo seeks an Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager to lead culturally informed casework for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients with complex needs.

You will deliver strengths-based rehabilitation support, develop cultural plans, liaise with Aboriginal organisations and the Koori Court, and work to reduce reoffending while building safer communities.

Qualifications

• Must have strong case management skills and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
• Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to develop culturally informed support plans.
• Ability to assess risk, plan interventions and support behaviour change.
• Excellent communication with Aboriginal clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful case management for clients, focusing on rehabilitation and orders.
• Create tailored cultural support plans to meet needs of Aboriginal clients.
• Assess risk factors and develop individualised case plans to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
• Provide expert advice to leaders and teams on culturally safe practices and resources.
