Job summary

Wormald Security is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Security Sales Professional to drive growth across Canberra and surrounding regions. You will build relationships with government, defence and enterprise clients, lead tenders, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver integrated security solutions.

Ideally you bring proven electronic security sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to obtain AGSVA clearances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience selling electronic security solutions.
• Strong understanding of Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Perimeter Security, and Integrated Security Systems.
• Experience working with Government, Defence, Enterprise, or Tier 1 customers.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Strong ethical disposition and customer centric approach.
• Experience preparing quotations, tenders, and proposals.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Security industry knowledge and licensing requirements.
• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain security and AGSVA clearances.

Responsibilities

• Developing and expanding relationships with government, commercial, defence, and enterprise customers.
• Identifying and securing new project, service, maintenance, and upgrade opportunities.
• Managing strategic customer accounts and key stakeholder relationships.
• Leading tenders, proposals, and customer presentations.
• Working closely with engineering and project teams to develop tailored solutions.
• Contributing to sales strategy and business development initiatives.
• Achieving sales targets while maintaining customer satisfaction and reputation.
