Job summary

Red Hawk Casino is seeking a Security Supervisor to assist in overseeing Security Officers on assigned shifts and to ensure the safety of guests and staff. The role involves staffing, training, scheduling, and incident reporting on the casino floor.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of supervisory/guest services experience, two years in law enforcement or gaming security, and excellent communication skills. Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising Security Officers on the shift.
• Maintain staffing levels through interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting and disciplining employees as needed.
• Patrol the property, identify hazards and report to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Back up Security Officers on the shift and assume duties when necessary.
• Prepare and request incident reports involving guests, employees or the facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shift.
• Maintains adequate staffing levels, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting and disciplining employees, as needed.
• Patrols the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual, to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees and the entire facility.
• Acts as a back-up to Security Officers on assigned shift, and assumes their duties when necessary.
• Prepares and requests reports on incidents involving guests, employees and/or the facility, as needed.
• Guards transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor, as well as the physical transportation of chip fills and credits.
• Acts as a backup to Security Officers on assigned shift, and assumes their duties.
• Interacts with guests and employees in a positive, professional manner.
• Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
• Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Create and utilize a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy through both formal and informal feedback as well as constant communication.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associates of Arts degree in any field is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of one year of supervisor and guest services experience.
• Two years of experience in law enforcement or gaming security strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
