Job summary

Certis at Atlassian Central in Sydney seeks a Security Officer – Lobby to deliver premium front‑of‑house security, ensuring a welcoming arrival experience while maintaining access control and discretion in a high‑profile environment.

You will be based in Sydney’s Tech Central precinct and support VIP movements, events and incident response as part of a collaborative security team. Full‑time role with Level 5 pay band and First Aid allowance.

Qualifications

Premium corporate security, concierge, or front‑of‑house experience desirable.
Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
Confident communication with executives, employees and visitors.
Good judgement, situational awareness and de‑escalation ability.
Customer‑first mindset with strict access‑control discipline.
Ability to use access‑control, visitor management and standard computer apps.

Responsibilities

Welcome employees, visitors, contractors and stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.
Provide directions, wayfinding and basic building information and assist with enquiries.
Maintain presentation and service standards in a high‑profile workplace.
Monitor lobby access points and support authorised entry and visitor processes.
Identify unusual activity or access concerns and escalate as needed.
Maintain security discipline without disrupting the customer experience.
Support VIP arrivals/departures and executive movements with discretion.
Assist with events and periods of increased visitor activity.
Collaborate with Controller, Rover Officers and building management.
Provide immediate assistance during incidents and assist with evacuations.

We are seeking a highly professional Security Officer – Lobby to join our team at Atlassian Central. You will provide a premium front‑of‑house security presence, helping create a safe, welcoming and seamless arrival experience while maintaining effective access control, discretion and situational awareness.

About the Role & Location

Based at Atlassian Central, the world’s tallest hybrid timber tower, in Sydney’s Tech Central precinct beside Central Station. This 39-storey landmark blends mass timber with cutting‑edge smart building technology and targets a 50% cut in embodied carbon.

Key Responsibilities

Premium Lobby & Customer Experience

Welcome employees, visitors, contractors and stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.
Provide directions, wayfinding and basic building information and assist with enquiries.
Maintain exceptional presentation, discretion and service standards in a high-profile workplace.

Access Control & Security Awareness

Monitor lobby access points and support authorised entry and visitor processes.
Identify unusual activity, access concerns or behaviours requiring escalation.
Maintain security discipline without unnecessarily disrupting the customer experience.

VIP, Event & Stakeholder Support

Support VIP arrivals and departures and maintain discretion around executive and VIP movements.
Assist with events and periods of increased visitor or occupant activity.
Work closely with the Controller, Rover Officers, building management and other service teams.

Emergency & Incident Support

Provide immediate assistance during incidents and emergencies within training and site procedures.
Support evacuations, access management and communications as directed.
Maintain clear radio and verbal communication and accurate incident records.

About You

Premium corporate security, concierge, hospitality or front‑of‑house experience is highly desirable.
Exceptional personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
Confident communication with executives, employees, contractors, visitors and members of the public.
Strong judgement, situational awareness and de‑escalation ability.
Customer‑first mindset while maintaining access‑control discipline.
Ability to use access‑control, visitor‑management and standard computer applications.

Essential Requirements

Current NSW Security Licence.
Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
Full Australian working rights.
Ability to complete required employment checks, site induction and site‑specific training.
Availability for Monday‑Friday 0800‑1800 coverage.
