Job summary

Certis Security Australia seeks professional and customer-focused Security Officers to deliver high-quality security services in Sydney. You will maintain a safe environment through proactive surveillance, access control, incident response, and stakeholder engagement.

As a Security Officer, you will patrol, monitor CCTV and alarms, manage incidents, escort personnel, and support emergency procedures. The role is permanent full-time in Sydney CBD with day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding).
• Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate (1 year validity).
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols and security checks.
• Perform alarm response and incident management.
• Maintain control room and site security operations.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems.
• Identify and respond to suspicious behaviour or incidents.
• Maintain accurate surveillance records.
• Escort visitors, contractors, and personnel.
• Monitor movement of goods and deliveries.
• Respond to security breaches and alarms.
• Support emergency evacuation and incident coordination.
• Liaise with emergency services when required.
• Complete accurate reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.

Education

Security Licence 1A (Unarmed Guarding)

First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with CPR

Australian Police Check clearance
