Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking a professional Security Officer - Rapid Response to deliver high-quality services across retail branches, ATMs, banks and events. You will patrol, monitor, control access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a customer-focused presence.

Based across the Parramatta region in Sydney, the role is full-time with SSIA Level 4 pay. You will work day shifts with opportunities to liaise with emergency services and maintain robust security operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to redeploy between branches within 15 minutes of notification.
• Strong interpersonal and de escalation skills.
• Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding) is required.
• First Aid Certificate (3 years) with CPR (1 year).
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent observation, problem solving and reporting abilities.
• Confident using security systems and MS Office.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Experience with CCTV, alarms and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and security of customers and staff at all retail locations.
• Respond to aggressive incidents and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct routine patrols and security checks.
• Perform alarm response and incident management.
• Maintain control room and site security operations.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms and security systems.
• Identify and respond to suspicious behaviour or incidents.
• Maintain surveillance records and reports.
• Escort visitors, contractors and personnel.
• Monitor movement of goods and deliveries.
• Respond to security breaches and alarms.
• Support emergency evacuation and incident coordination.
• Liaise with emergency services as required.
• Complete accurate reports and documentation.

Shift Pattern:Day shifts available

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring the safety and security of customers and staff at all retail locations.

About You

• Must be able to redeploy between branches within 15 minutes of notification during business hours across Parramatta & St Marys
• Strong interpersonal and deescalation skills
• Must haveSecurity Licence,Classification 1A(Unarmed Guarding)
• Valid First Aid Certificate(3yearsvalidity) withcurrent CPR Certificate(1 year validity)
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent observation, problem-solving, and reporting abilities
• Confidence using security systems and MS Office
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
