Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic School Ulverstone is seeking a WHS Administration Officer to manage work health and safety and compliance across the school. The role supports safe facilities, coordinates contractor checks, staff WHS training, and safety audits within a 42-week year, with pro-rata remuneration and 12% superannuation.

The successful candidate will have a WHS or project management qualification, be able to work independently, and hold a WWVP registration plus a National Police Check.

Qualifications

• Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
• National Police Criminal History Check.
• Qualification or Diploma in WHS or Project Management.
• Experience in the education sector.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the school’s WHS and compliance requirements.
• Manage contractor compliance and induction processes.
• Conduct Essential Services compliance checks for school registration.
• Coordinate staff WHS training and maintain a training register.
• Schedule and complete safety audits, inspections and record keeping.
• Investigate incidents and support risk control measures.
• Maintain emergency plans and coordinate drills.
• Provide payroll support and relief during staff absence.
