Job summary

Canberra Girls Grammar School in Canberra is seeking a part-time Receptionist (25 hours per week, Mon–Fri) to be the first point of contact for parents, students and visitors. The role involves welcoming visitors, managing sign-in/out, answering calls, and supporting the Senior Receptionist in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous reception experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Receptionist as required and liaise with them at all times.
• Welcome visitors and parents, direct them and assist as needed.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and route calls to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain WWVP and bus card/bus key registers and notify relevant staff.
• Handle absences, medical situations, deliveries and sign-in/out processes in a calm, professional manner.
