Job summary

Rissalah College in Sydney is seeking an IT Assistant to help maintain the College's computer systems and related equipment across the school environment. You will install, configure, test and maintain hardware used by staff and students, and investigate equipment faults to help keep technology operating reliably.

Key duties include preparing equipment for classrooms, diagnosing faults, replacing faulty parts, and coordinating with staff and suppliers for repairs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in information technology or related field.
• At least two years of relevant hardware support/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of computer components and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare computers and equipment for classroom and staff use.
• Identify and resolve hardware faults and decide repair vs. replacement.
• Replace faulty parts and arrange servicing when needed.
• Set up printers, monitors and accessories and verify functionality.
• Maintain records of equipment locations, repairs and service requests.
• Coordinate with staff and external suppliers for repairs and replacements.
