Job summary

Catholic Education Services in the Diocese of Cairns is seeking an Information Technology Technical Support Officer to provide service desk support to staff and students across Cairns region. The role is based at Newman Catholic College Smithfield and St Monica's College Cairns.

You will deliver patient, clear user assistance, support AV and printers, and mentor non-technical users while working within a supportive IT team.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and professional approach.
• Experience or aptitude in supporting Information Technology systems.
• High interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage routine tasks.
• Professional presentation suitable for a front-facing support role.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate within a technical support team.
• Hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
• Fully supportive of Catholic Education ethos.
• Current valid driver’s licence (travel to school sites required).

• Provide day-to-day service desk support for staff and students.
• Support AV equipment, printers, and other collaborative technologies.
• Assist with technology deployment and basic user training.
• Travel between school sites as required by the role.
