Job summary

Mates Food & Beverage is seeking a Sales Representatives/Territory Manager to grow our portfolio of beverages, chocolate and coffee brands across independent grocers, cafes and Horeca in Australia. This part-time role offers a car allowance and a clear bonus path.

You will build relationships, onboard customers to our ordering system, and track progress using a CRM, while working closely with founders to scale our brands across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage sales.
• FMCG, grocery and/or Horeca sales experience preferred.
• Strong new business development and relationship-building skills.
• Owns a car, license and smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Win new business with independent grocers, speciality retailers, cafes and sandwich shops.
• Build relationships with key retail stakeholders.
• Brand ambassador, introducing our brands to retailers and the broader market.
• Fight for shelf presence on the best shelf, in the best fridges.
• Onboard customers to a seamless ordering system.
• Track progress in a CRM and report to founders.

Mates Food & Beverage is about to take the market by storm and we’re looking for the best sales guns in town to join in the fun.

Mates is a collection of powerhouse brands that are joining forces to build an unmissable presence in the independent supermarket and Horeca channels.

Beverages, chocolate and coffee brands coming together to win, as mates.

Mates is a new entity founded by the team behind Quest Beverages – Calm & Stormy mineral water, Thrills brewed soda and Flippa juices. We’ve been chatting to our mates in the start-up food and beverage industry and found we all have the same challenge. We’ve got great products, cool brands, but just need to get out and talk to more customers.

That’s where you come in. Work directly with a group of founders to help us grow our brands. Win new business. Build presence in stores. Develop great relationships.

About the role

• Win new business with the best independent grocers, speciality retailers, cafes and sandwich shops
• Build relationships with key retail stakeholders
• Brand Ambassador, introducing our brands to retailers and the broader market
• Fight for presence for our brands on the best shelf, in the best fridges
• Onboard customers to seamless ordering system
• Track progress in an easy-to-use CRM
• Be our eyes and ears in the market, feeding back directly into the founders.

About you

• Proven experience in food and beverage sales
• Experience across FMCG, grocery and/or Horeca sales
• Motivated by winning new business
• Established relationships across town
• Motivated, self-starter with great energy
• Hungry to learn and progress
• Have a car, license and phone

Part-time employment (20-20 hours/week) with car allowance. Great for someone looking for some flexibility to fit around life.
