Job summary

Check Point in Canberra, Australia, is seeking a Security Engineer (Presales) to join our global pre-sales team. You will work with the Sales Team to recommend Check Point solutions and design end-to-end security architectures for customers.

You will lead technical engagements, conduct Cyber Workshops, and demonstrate our portfolio to protect clients from evolving threats. Strong communication and an active clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of engineering and pre-sales experience.
• Strong network security knowledge with hands-on Check Point or similar.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to design end-to-end security solutions for a customer environment.
• Active Australian Federal Government security clearance preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to recommend Check Point solutions that meet customer security needs.
• Provide insights based on Check Point best practices to drive outcomes.
• Lead technical engagements, address questions, and manage Proof-of-Value and Cyber Workshops.
• Demonstrate Check Point portfolio to protect organizations from threats.
• Drive meetings to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Support responses to RFIs/RFPs with bid teams.
• Engage partners and customers on latest cybersecurity technologies.
• Participate in cybersecurity events.
• Maintain timely activity reports and communicate with your Manager.

Job Description

Your Role:

• Work closely with our Sales Team in providing recommendations onappropriate Check Point solutions to meet our customer’s cyber security needs.
• Provide insight and advice to potential and existing customersbased on Check Point's best practice, applying your skills and knowledge in our industry to drive the optimal outcome.
• Lead the technical engagement, addressing technical questions, providing consultative advice and managing key tasks such as Proof-of-Value and Cyber Workshops
• Demonstrate our full portfolio of solutions that help keep organizations safe from threats and protect their operations and information
• Drive meetings with potential and existing customers to identify their problems and provide appropriate solutions
• Support the responses to RFI's & RFP's with the relevant bid teams
• Engage and support the enablement of key partners and customers on the latest Cyber Security Technologies.
• Active participation in cyber security events
• Keep timely update of activity reports and ensure timely communication with the Manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for people who:

• Have a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent Industry experience
• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevantengineering and pre-sales experience
• Strong Network Security knowledge required, with hands-on experience in Check Point Security Gateways or a comparable solution
• Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Have good understanding of typical customer architecture and cyber needs
• Are exposed to network, cloudand End Point security is advantageous
• Have a bring a customer first mindset and experience in working with large to medium enterprise organizations
• Have the ability to create an end-to-end security solution for a customer’s environment
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills
• As part of a distributed team of people, a strong sense of teamwork is required.
• Relevant certifications highly preferred, e.g. CCNP / CISSP/ CCSA / CCSE
• Fluent in English - written and verbal
• An active Australian Federal Government security clearance is preferred, or the ability to obtain one upon appointment.
