Job summary

Townsville Carpet Court is seeking a Sales Assistant to provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and drive sales at our Townsville showroom. This full-time role offers opportunities to help customers find the perfect flooring solutions for homes and businesses.

You will guide customers through our extensive product range, coordinate on-site measures and installations, and deliver outstanding after-sales support.

As a Sales Assistant at Townsville Carpet Court, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales for a premier flooring retailer. This full-time position will be based in our Townsville location, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your passion for customer service to help our customers find the perfect flooring solutions for their homes and businesses.

What you'll be doing

Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, guiding them through our extensive product range and helping them make informed purchasing decisions.

Demonstrating strong product knowledge to educate customers on the features and benefits of our carpets, rugs, vinyl and other flooring options.

Actively promoting sales and managing the customer journey from initial enquiry to on-site measures to final purchase.

Maintaining a neat and organised showroom to create a welcoming environment for our customers.

Providing excellent after-sales support, including handling customer queries and coordinating installations.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a sales or customer service role preferred.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers

A keen eye for detail, with the ability to match customers' needs to the right products.

Excellent time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage multiple customer interactions.

A positive, enthusiastic and approachable attitude, coupled with a drive for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
