Job summary

Central Goldfields Shire Council in Maryborough, VIC, is seeking a proactive Safety and Return to Work Officer to support health, safety, injury management and return-to-work processes within the People & Culture team.

This permanent part-time role (30.4 hours/week) reports to the Coordinator Health and Safety and focuses on coordination, administration, incident records and compliant, wellbeing initiatives to protect staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in workplace health and safety, injury management and return-to-work practices.
• Strong relationship-building and collaborative skills.
• Proactive and compassionate safety professional.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate return-to-work activities and medical management.
• Maintain records for workers' compensation and incidents.
• Support health monitoring and safety initiatives.
• Assist governance, reporting and compliance through the Coordinator Health and Safety.
