South Gippsland Shire Council is seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing professional to provide specialist advice, conduct investigations, and drive safety improvements across the organisation. The role covers risk assessments, site audits, emergency management, and policy development within an integrated HSW system.

The successful candidate will hold a WHS qualification (Cert IV or Diploma), demonstrate strong communication with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to a safe, compliant workplace

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) role.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to develop and improve HSW systems.
• Experience conducting safety investigations and audits.
• Strong understanding of Victoria OHS legislation and compliance.
• Excellent data, reporting and stakeholder communication.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist HSW advice across the organisation.
• Conduct incident and hazard reporting and root cause analysis.
• Perform risk assessments, site audits and inspections.
• Coordinate emergency management systems and drills.
• Develop and improve HSW policies and SSOW within the system.
