Job summary

KBR in Perth, WA is seeking a Roads Team Lead who combines technical road design expertise with people leadership to deliver major transport infrastructure across Western Australia. You'll lead a team of road engineers, ensure compliance with MRWA standards, mentor staff, manage design from concept through construction support, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.

This role is hands-on and leadership-focused within a multidisciplinary environment, with emphasis on Main Roads WA

Qualifications

Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
12+ years' experience in roads engineering design.
Experience delivering road and transport infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of Austroads Guides, Australian Standards and MRWA requirements.
Proven leadership or mentoring of engineers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of road engineers and designers.
Deliver road design packages from concept to detail design and construction support.
Provide technical oversight across transport infrastructure projects.
Ensure compliance with MRWA, Austroads, and Australian Standards.
Support design reviews, safety in design, and project planning.
Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Contribute to bids, proposals and business development.
Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
