Job summary

WorkCover Queensland is seeking a dedicated professional to manage a portfolio of workers' compensation claims from our Brisbane CBD base. You will coordinate treatment, return-to-work plans, and collaboration with injured workers, employers, and healthcare providers to achieve positive outcomes.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, high-volume caseload management, and adherence to legislative requirements, with a focus on delivering impact and support for Queenslanders' livelihoods.

Qualifications

• Understanding medical terminology and healthcare processes (preferred).
• Experience in insurance or workers’ compensation environments (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of accepted workers' compensation claims, monitoring risk and identifying interventions to influence outcomes.
• Gather and analyse information to support a worker's ongoing treatment and return to work after claim acceptance.
• Develop and maintain rehabilitation and return-to-work plans in line with workers' needs and legislation.
• Ensure liability decisions are made on claims in line with legislative requirements.
