Job summary

Total Tools & Hardware Group (Part of Metcash) is seeking a Retail Trainer to elevate capability, confidence and performance across our SA and WA store teams. You will deliver hands-on training, coaching and on-the-floor support that translates product knowledge into sales opportunities.

This hands-on role combines workshops, virtual sessions and in-store coaching. You will travel regularly to SA and WA, building practical programs that stick and help teams exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong coaching and facilitation skills that drive behaviour change.
• Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
• Ability to influence, engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
• Understanding of retail, customer service and sales principles.
• Self-motivated and comfortable travelling across SA and WA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging face-to-face and virtual training across our store network in SA and WA.
• Coach team members on the shop floor to improve customer service, sales skills and product confidence.
• Create training programs and learning resources that are practical, engaging and easy to apply.
• Partner with store leaders to identify capability gaps and drive development initiatives.
• Support new team member onboarding and ongoing skills development.
• Build strong relationships across the store network and provide ongoing coaching and support.
