Metcash in Mooloolaba, Queensland is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor to lead a small team in a fast-paced seafood/food service operation. You will roster staff, oversee stock rotation, and ensure premium customer service while maintaining HACCP compliance.

This full‑time role requires 2–3 years in retail or hospitality food service, strong leadership and communication skills, and availability nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in retail or hospitality food service or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, or Senior Storeman is an advantage
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• An understanding of OH&S regulations & HACCP requirements.

• Assist in Rostering: Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts
• Staff Management: Supervise and support Retail and delivery staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Forecasting: Analyze demand and prepare forecasts for the next day’s production and preparation needs

Due to the continual growth of our organisation, we are currently seeking applications for a Retail Shift Supervisor to be based in Mooloolaba.

About The Role

Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, this full-time permanent position ideally requires sound knowledge and experience in Foodservice, stock rotation and HACCP controls. The successful candidate will manage a small team to ensure premium customer standards are met. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is in a current Hospitality role/senior chef position that may be looking for a change of direction or a similar role elsewhere to step up in their career to supervisor. • An understanding of OH&S regulations & HACCP requirements.
• Available nights and weekends is essential
