Job summary

Metcash Palmyra is seeking a hands-on Receivals Manager to own and optimise its inbound warehouse operations. You will lead approximately 15 staff, report to the Operations Manager, and ensure stock is received, verified, recorded and put away accurately, safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on improving operational performance, developing team capability and enhancing product flow through a busy food-service distribution centre.

Qualifications

• Experience leading receivals, inbound operations or a similar warehouse function.
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to organise daily work and develop a team.
• Strong attention to detail across quantities, product codes, batches and expiry dates.
• Knowledge of putaway processes, inventory control and FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.
• Understanding of food-safety, quality and WHS requirements.
• Ability to manage discrepancies and escalate issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily receivals across supplier deliveries, transfers and other incoming inventory.
• Coordinate delivery schedules, dock activity, labour and handling equipment.
• Ensure stock is checked against purchase orders and dockets.
• Resolve and escalate issues as needed.
• Oversee accurate system processing and timely putaway of received products.
• Maintain inventory integrity through correct storage, stock rotation and traceability.
• Ensure refrigerated, frozen and ambient stock is handled according to requirements.
• Work across inventory, procurement, replenishment, transport and warehouse teams to improve performance.

About the Opportunity

Join Superior Foods in Palmyra as a full-time Receivals Manager and take ownership of its inbound warehouse operation. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead approximately 15 employees while ensuring stock is received, verified, recorded and put away accurately, safely and efficiently.
