Qualifications

Responsibilities

Retail Supervisor – Mount Isa, QLD

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a long-established and hugely popular community club which has been part of the Mount Isa landscape since 1955. The Club operates a diverse hospitality and entertainment business which includes a busy retail bottle shop. With a substantial retail operation and an established team, the Club now seeks an experienced Retail Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of its bottle shop and associated retail activities. The successful applicant will supervise and support the retail team, maintain strong customer service and presentation standards, assist with stock and inventory control, and contribute to the continued commercial performance of the operation.

Salary negotiable in the range $75k to $95k plus superannuation per annum is on offer. The role is full time and ongoing, requiring shifts across the week and weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service & Sales: Ensure that customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Supervision: Supervise bottle-shop sales staff, including scheduling, training, guiding daily duties
• Staffing: Interview, hire, train, evaluate, dismiss, and promote staff. Resolve staff grievances and instruct staff on handling difficult and complicated sales procedures.
• Maintain agreed and documented store presentation standards, ensuring that the bottle shop and associated retail area is clean, organised, and visually appealing.
• Enforce liquor and RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) compliance as it relates to the retail outlet, alongside general workplace health, safety, and security procedures.

To be considered we expect to see:-

• Education: Certificate II or III in a relevant area (or agreed substitute).
• Experience: At least one year of highly relevant retail supervisory experience is expected, preferably within a liquor, supermarket, fast-paced retail environment.
• Current RSA qualification is required or a willingness to obtain same.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. manage stock control, merchandising, and customer service standards effectively.
