Job summary

Securecorp is seeking motivated Security Officers to join our retail security team around Bankstown. Roles are available on Full Time, Part Time and Casual contracts, focusing on creating a safe, welcoming environment while protecting people, property and assets.

You will perform high-visibility patrols, monitor CCTV, assist customers, enforce access control, and liaise with management and emergency services. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence is required.
• First Aid and CPR certificates required.
• Retail security experience is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work calmly and resolve issues on site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-visibility foot patrols throughout the retail centre.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Provide a professional security presence and exceptional customer service.
• Monitor access control and enforce site policies.
• Assist customers with enquiries and directions as required.
• Liaise with centre management, retailers, emergency services, and contractors.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Identify hazards and report security risks promptly.
• Assist in emergency evacuations and incident management when required.

We have opportunities available on a Full Time, Part Time, and Casual basis. As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for customers, retailers, and staff. This position combines a strong security presence with exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience while protecting people, property, and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-visibility foot patrols throughout the retail centre both internally and externally
• Monitor CCTV and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
• Provide a professional security presence and exceptional customer service
• Monitor access control and enforce site policies and procedures
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide directions or assistance as required
• Liaise with centre management, retailers, emergency services, and contractors
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
• Identify and report hazards, suspicious behaviour, and security risks
• Assist in emergency evacuations and incident management when required

Skills & Experience

• Current NSW Security Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Previous retail security experience is highly regarded but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
• Professional presentation and customer-focused approach
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to incidents
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
