Job summary

New Balance Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to lead retail operations across the Pacific region. You will oversee stock control, drive sales performance, optimise conversion and store standards, and support a motivated, high-performing retail workforce.

This role is open to candidates located in Melbourne or Sydney. You’ll travel regularly across the region and collaborate with Area Managers to ensure visits, audits and training.

Qualifications

• State or national retail management experience.
• Proven ability to achieve sales budgets.
• Strong inventory & POS knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate retail teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate IT and MS Excel skills.
• A determined, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory control, stocktakes & shrinkage management.
• Build efficient rosters using traffic analysis to optimise conversion & wage spend.
• Ensure Area Managers complete store visits, audits & training requirements.
• Manage store operations including cash handling, expenses & OHS compliance.
• Provide first-level retail IT support and lead Aptos implementation.

Reporting to the Head of Retail ANZ, we’re seeking a Retail Operations Manager to lead retail operations across the Pacific region. As a senior member of the Retail Management Team, you’ll oversee stock control, drive sales performance, optimise conversion and operational efficiency, elevate store standards, and support a motivated, high‑performing retail workforce.
