Job summary

New Balance is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to lead retail operations across the Pacific region. Based in Melbourne or Sydney, you’ll oversee stock control, drive sales performance, optimise conversion and operational efficiency, and support a motivated, high‑performing retail workforce.

Reporting to the Head of Retail ANZ, you will manage inventories, rosters, store visits, audits, training, cash handling, OH&S, IT support, and Aptos implementation.

Qualifications

• State or national retail management experience.
• Proven ability to achieve sales budgets.
• Strong inventory & POS knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate retail teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate IT and MS Excel skills.
• A determined, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory control, stocktakes & shrinkage management.
• Build efficient rosters using traffic analysis to optimise conversion & wage spend.
• Ensure Area Managers complete store visits, audits & training requirements.
• Manage store operations including cash handling, expenses & OHS compliance.
• Provide first‑level retail IT support and lead Aptos implementation.
