Sydney Tools Harristown is seeking a Store Manager to lead the branch, drive trade and retail sales, and uphold world‑class operational standards. You will own performance, presentation, and culture, inspiring your team and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will manage daily operations, build strong client relationships, and coach staff to meet store KPIs while ensuring compliance and roster discipline. This is a hands-on leadership role in a busy hardware/trade environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail, industrial, hardware, or trade-based environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coach teams to achieve sales targets and uphold operational standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with tradies, commercial accounts, and suppliers.

About the Role

As the Store Manager at Sydney Tools Harristown, you will own the performance, presentation, and culture of your branch. You will lead from the front, driving trade and retail sales while maintaining world‑class operational standards.

You will:

• Lead by example by achieving your own sales targets, operational excellence, and strong attendance.
• Take full responsibility for daily store operations, trade desk activity, and customer experience.
• Build strong relationships with local industrial, trade, and commercial clients across the region.
• Hold your team accountable for sales targets, store KPIs, attendance, and service standards.
• Identify local process improvements to lift efficiency, compliance, and store profitability.

What You’ll Be Doing

Sales & Customer Experience

• Drive and exceed individual and store sales targets, margin goals, and KPIs.
• Engage directly with tradies and industrial clients to recommend complete tool and equipment solutions.
• Analyse store sales reports to identify buying trends, stock opportunities, and underperformance.
• Implement local trade marketing initiatives and promotions aligned with national campaigns.

People Leadership

• Onboard and train new team members using Sydney Tools induction and product modules.
• Run regular coaching sessions, performance check-ins, and corrective action where required.
• Create a high-performance culture built on product expertise, speed of service, and accountability.
• Manage store rosters, time and attendance tracking, and policy adherence.

Operations & Compliance

• Maintain aggressive visual merchandising, stock density, and overall store cleanliness.
• Manage stock intake, floor availability, and shrinkage controls.
• Oversee daily registers, end-of-day banking, security procedures, and system reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) obligations and company policies.
• Resolve customer support and warranty issues quickly and professionally.

About You

• Experience: Proven background as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager (2IC) in a high-volume retail, industrial, hardware, or trade-based environment.
• Leadership: Demonstrated track record of coaching teams to smash sales targets and operational standards.
• Business Acumen: Confident using sales data, stock reports, and KPIs to make commercial decisions.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build instant rapport with tradies, commercial account holders, and suppliers.
• Flexibility: Available to work a rotating roster, including weekends, to support store trading hours
