Job summary

Nicks Restaurant Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to lead front of house and back of house operations, ensuring a profitable, enjoyable dining experience for guests.

You will monitor service standards, staff training, compliance with RSA, OHS and Fair Work, manage stock and POS systems, and assist the Restaurant Manager in maintaining team morale and consistent service during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• 1. Manage all front of house and back of house areas/functions to ensure profitable sales and a pleasant dining experience.
• 2. Improve overall productivity of the Restaurant without compromising service quality.
• 3. Maintain high staff behavior standards reflecting on the restaurant.
• 4. Ensure continuous supply of products and that equipment is safe and functional.
• 5. Assist in policymaking and ensure staff comply with restaurant policies.
• 6. Maintain rapport with key personnel and across staff areas for teamwork.
• 7. Observe all laws and regulations by employees.
• 8. Support staff evaluations with the Restaurant Manager and plan succession.
• 9. Assist with staff training under the Restaurant Manager.
• 10. Ensure compliance with RSA, OHS, Fair Work and related regulations.
• 11. Maintain staff morale and hold regular staff meetings for contributions.
• 12. Enforce grooming policies and standards.
• 13. Keep restaurant areas neat and tidy at all times.
• 14. Maintain attendance records and daily shift sign-offs in Time Target.
• 15. Observe sales techniques and ensure high sales competency among staff.
• 16. Monitor POS system performance and report issues promptly.
• 17. Balance all restaurant sales with auditable cashiering procedures and payment methods.
• 18. Maintain a daily VIP welcome notice with seating locations.
• 19. Maintain constant presence on the floor during service to project a welcoming image.
• 20. Address service issues promptly and professionally to protect customer interests.
