Jubilant group Lty Ltd is seeking an experienced Restaurant / Café Manager to lead operations at our Broadbeach location. This full-time role requires overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will supervise a team, recruit and train staff, manage inventory and budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while achieving sales targets and delivering guest satisfaction.

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant / Café Manager to lead our operations at our Broadbeach location. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your management expertise in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the restaurant or café, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to company standards
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel
• Recruit, train, and develop team members to maintain high service standards and foster a positive workplace culture
• Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to optimise costs and minimise waste
• Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and work towards achieving sales targets and profitability goals
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues to maintain guest satisfaction
• Liaise with head office and other departments to implement operational policies and procedures
• Schedule staff shifts and manage labour costs whilst maintaining service quality
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance throughout the establishment
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management

What we're looking for

• Proven track record of successful supervision and team leadership in a hospitality setting
• Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including stock management and cost control
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints and maintain guest satisfaction
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic restaurant management software
• Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations applicable to food service establishments
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and achieving sales targets
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and senior management
• Australian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain it
• Current First Aid certification is highly desirable
• Experience in training and developing staff is preferred
