Job summary

BGIS, Community Housing and Property Services in Melbourne seeks a Planned Maintenance Manager to lead planning, scheduling and allocation of maintenance across a residential portfolio. You will guide the Coordination Team, collaborate with operational managers, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure works are well organised and delivered on time.

Qualifications

Experience leading coordination, planning, scheduling or service delivery teams.
Proven track record managing planned maintenance or project programs.
Experience with workforce planning and resource allocation.
Experience overseeing subcontractors and monitoring performance.
Ability to review operational data and report outcomes.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Commercial awareness and practical problem solving.
Proficiency with Office suite and work management systems.
Qualification in FM/Building/Asset/PM or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Full working rights in Australia.
Experience in community housing or maintenance contracts.
Familiarity with CMMS or asset management systems.
Project management qualifications or leadership training.

Responsibilities

Guide and mentor the Planned Maintenance Coordination Team.
Oversee planning and allocation of planned works, including programs and resources.
Develop and maintain clear planning, scheduling and allocation processes.
Monitor workloads across teams to ensure fair allocation.
Support work order administration, variations and reporting.
Review subcontractor performance to ensure value for money.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors and clients.
Review data to identify risks and capacity pressures.
Coach team members for skill development and career growth.
Suggest improvements to planning accuracy and customer outcomes.
