Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to assist with all operational duties of the Community Manager, including reporting, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and supervising the community in the manager's absence.

The candidate should have 2+ years of experience, LIHTC knowledge, strong communication, and a solid bookkeeping background to manage rents and maintain Fair Housing compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge required.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
• Solid track record of bookkeeping and rent collection.
• Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
• Superior interpersonal skills; able to work with diverse personalities.
• Resourceful and organized.
• Solid computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, internet, and e-mail).
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Resident Relations and Customer Service to ensure high resident satisfaction.
• Process rents, collect payments, and post deposits accurately.
• Assist with leasing duties, including touring prospective residents.
• Oversee property operations and staff in Community Manager’s absence.
• Support Leasing Consultants while ensuring Fair Housing guidelines are followed.
• Maintain compliance files and adhere to property management rules and regulations.
• Conduct regular meetings with Community Manager and Regional Manager to review performance.
