Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold property conditions, enhance curb appeal, and deliver excellent resident service. You will diagnose and repair issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support make-ready processes for new move-ins.

The role requires hands-on trade skills, on-call availability, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

2 years of multifamily maintenance experience.
Hands-on maintenance skills: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools.
EPA Type II or Universal certification; CPO a plus.
On-call availability for emergencies.
Reliable transportation.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop skills.
Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently and in a team.
Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, internet, e-mail).

Responsibilities

Respond to resident requests and complete work orders with high quality maintenance service.
Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose issues to repair per policy and codes.
Complete make-ready processes for vacant units and schedule vendors as needed.
Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities with cleaning and minor upkeep.
Track inventory, use tools efficiently, and notify supervisor when re-orders are needed.
Follow safety procedures and OSHA-related training; report accidents promptly.
Ensure compliance with policies and Fair Housing/ADA regulations.
